A 50%, non-refundable deposit is required to begin work on a portrait. The price includes the portrait mounted in an antique pocket watch case of my choice. When the portrait is finished, I will email you a picture of the completed portrait for your approval. While I stand by the quality of my work, you are under no obligation to accept the finished portrait. The balance of payment is due before delivery. I will let you know how much it will be to ship your portrait to you via USPS, UPS or FedEx, and you can include that amount with the final payment.
When creating your portrait I work from photographs you have sent to me. All photos are treated with great care and returned when the portrait is complete. The most successful dog portraits are from photos taken closest to eye level with the dog, NOT shot from above, and with the dog's attention on the camera. A clear, close up of the head is important for a horse head portrait, if the horse is looking at the viewer that is great but not critical. If you are taking photos of your horse, try not to stand too close, but use your zoom instead as this helps eliminate weird perspectives. Horse show photos are great. I prefer to have more than one photo whenever possible.
I retain full rights, including copyright and reproduction rights, in all my artwork, commissioned or otherwise. Artwork is commissioned for personal use only and may not be reproduced or used for financial gain without my written permission. Under U.S. law, the creator of an image automatically owns the copyright to that image.
I look forward to working with you to create something you will cherish.
